Solar Flex String Lights — a continuous line, not a row of hotspots.
A run of small lights on a flexible cable, with the spacing set for a continuous line rather than a row of hotspots. It is deliberately straightforward. There is one obvious way to use it, it works the way you expect, and it does not need to be handled carefully to survive normal life. It comes in 3 colours.
Built from parts that each do one job, with the fastenings sized to the load rather than to the price. There is no glue in the joints that matters, nothing is torqued past what the material wants, and the piece can be taken apart if it ever has to be stored flat.
The wiring runs through a sealed gland at the housing rather than past a bare hole, which is the one detail that decides whether an outdoor light survives its first wet season. Connections are polarity-marked, and the run between units is on enough cable to reach a sensible spacing rather than being just long enough for one layout.
A light string with evenly spaced points along a single cable, so the run looks deliberate however it is routed. We would rather it be slightly plainer than slightly flimsy. So the shape is quiet, the corners are radiused rather than sharp for looks, and the material is chosen for how it behaves on the hundredth use rather than the first.
It needs no special setup: unbox it, put it where you want it, and it works. The packaging is designed to be kept for storing the piece out of season, which matters with anything that has small parts. There is nothing on it that needs feeding, oiling or re-sealing on a schedule. Wash it when it looks like it needs washing and it will outlast the trend that made you buy it. It is sized for ordinary rooms and ordinary hands rather than for a showroom. Set it up in one sitting, and if you move it six months later, nothing will have seized or gone brittle in the meantime.
Points are set at a consistent interval along a single cable.
Routes around corners without kinking.
Cable length is quoted, not implied.

Even spacing makes a run look deliberate.
The flexible cable takes corners without kinking.
Warm, low output reads as decoration rather than as lighting.
Wind it back the way it came to avoid straining the cable.
Wipe it down, check the fastenings once a season and tighten anything that has worked loose. That is the entire maintenance schedule — there is nothing that needs oiling, sealing or replacing on a timer.
The run is set at the factory. If you need a shorter run, leave the surplus coiled out of sight rather than cutting the cable — the cable carries the return path.
Each point on the run has a sealed connection. The plug end should still be kept out of standing water.
The spacing along the cable is described in the specification.
